I have anonymized the paper drafts and correspondence as much as feasible. For the paper drafts, I only included the first part of each draft -- the part that dealt with the framing of the problem and the theoretical treatment. I left off the data analysis example, and the references (already there are too many pages for you to read!). For the earlier rounds, I no longer have the cover letters that accompanied the ms. But those cover letters are very simple: -------------------------------------------------------------- Dear XXX, Please find enclosed our ms, "blah-blah-blah", for consideration for publication in YYY. The authors are A, B, and C, and I am the corresponding author. We look forward to hearing from you. sincerely yours, XXX -------------------------------------------------------------- NOTE: If the ms is a revision, I would suggest replacing "our ms" with "our revised ms", and I would add a sentence saying something like We have also attached a list of the referees' comments, along with a description of how we handled each commment in the revision.
