In section 5, Taylor has presented the results of his analysis. He has further divided the key results into different subsections based on the questions he is investigating. Overall, the organization of this section is clear. He has clearly explained what his results are using the plots for various estimates of the parameters. However, I do think it will be helpful to include more explanations in the caption of the figures. Section 5.1 Figure 2 caption: I usually prefer to at least re-state what I'm plotting in my figures even though it might be clear from the axis labels. As stated in Lebrun, it is helpful for readers to have Figures stand as independent entity. Page 10, paragraph 2: I think structurally it will be more clear to introduce the term "excess beta" in the stress position of the first sentence and then use it in the topic position of the second sentence as suggested in Gopen and Swan. Also there are two ideas in this paragraph; i) comparing across Acute and Control conditions and ii) calculating interpolated power. Can you use a thesis statement in the begininning of this paragraph that will combine these two ideas? Page 10, paragraph 3: This paragraph has only one sentence and it is unclear what summary you are talking about. Page 10: paragraph 4: Instead of 'these ratios' using 'excess beta' will be more clear, if that is what you are refering to by 'these ratios'. Page 11: Figure 3 needs caption Page 11: section 5.1 last paragraph: 95% point-wise intervals of what and what information does it give you? Also, 'dopamine deletion' is a new idea in this section? Do you talk about it in earlier section? Is it important to mention it here? section 5.2 In the first sentence you could mention the decreasing pattern in Acute mice compared to the control mice. Figure 5: Caption needs to be more descriptive Section 5.3: Your first sentence is not consistent with how you have started section 5.1 and 5.2. It might be easier for your readers if you are consistent on how you begin each subsection in this section.
