A couple of cautionary notes: (1) It will be very important to think through how you are going to sample [or census!] students. (2) The literature you cite gives very wide scope for a questionnaire or survey instrument. You want to be sure to keep it constrained enough that you don't get bogged down in trying to "cover all the bases" with one survey. Also you want to build in time in your schedule for some useful pre-testing -- to make sure the instrument is not too long, not too hard for students to complete, etc. In this regard it would be helpful to carefully define -- and narrow, without destroying -- the construct you want to measure most with this study. (3) Decide -- soon -- whether you are doing a survey or a census. Report on this as a part of your I.2 submission. Happy to talk to you about your ideas for either of the above, as needed. best, -BJ
