Interest. 15/20 As you point out, this survey was done as a survey of *students* by a previous 303 group. I think it would be interesting to do this as a survey of *faculty*. You might compare faculty results generally with the student results reported in the Tartan. Also, I understand that a trial is, or will get, underway, in which faculty can assign +/- grades but these will not appear on transcripts. If that is so, you might also look at faculty attitudes toward the trial. Will they take it seriously, given that the +/- parts "don't count"? B. Research Questions. 10/20 Not much detail here. What sorts of things are you interested in finding out? It may help here, to focus your attention on *faculty* respondents; you may be able to think of more specific research questions for a survey of faculty. C. References. 10/10 fine 2. General Attitude/Behavior on Online Shopping by CMU Students A. Interest. 15/20 I have a bit of a "so what" reaction to this topic. Likely you will find that very many students shop online, and likely because the benefits of free internet access on campus, impulse- and last-minute shopping, etc, outweigh the costs of waiting for a shipment to arrive. It is not clear that there is anything that bricks-and-mortar stores can do about this. Is there a version of this topic/research question that would give results that someone would actually be interested in acting on? B. Research Questions. 15/20 These questions seem like a good start. In addition, it is worth asking what makes people decide *not* to shop online (and shop at a retail store instead) -- is it particular products? some aspect of the shopping experience? convenience (ever??)? etc. C.
