This project is good to go.  Looking forward to your I5.

Specific Comments:

* Nice job on I3.  

* I like using the schedule of classes as a frame for this project.
  You'll have to make sure that you catch any duplicate instructors
  but that should be fairly easy.  Also make sure you exclude
  non-undergrad courses.

  Note that this frame doesn't cover your stated target population as
  well as you might like.  

  Also, you may wish to consider stratifying (by college, for example)
  if you think attitudes toward +/- grading will be different for
  diffferent groups of faculty (this will tend to narrow CI's for
  exmaple).  [oh I see, in I4 you are considering stratified; that's
  fine] 

* I like the idea of a FtF followup with faculty if they don't answer
  their email or reminder.

* You mention at the end of I4 that you are "dealing with the whole
  population".  I definitely want you to take an SRS or stratified
  sample w/0 replacement; that is, I do *not* want you to do a census
  of the whole population of spr 2010 instructors.
