  Irvine...  It would be interesting to briefly compare the results of
  your survey with the results of this study (in your final report).

* I like your sampling plan from I.4: you are going to do sampling w/o
  replacement from Cbook. 

  It's ok to use email addr's in cbook, or facebook, or other methods,
  to contact the people in your cbook sample (for initial invitation
  or for reminders).

* I do not have a Cbook handy here at home, but I think it *does* list
  the class level (fr/so/jr/sr/5th).  If so, you should consider
  taking a stratified sample w/o replacement, stratified by class
  level.

* oversampling to account for 20% response rate is fine. 

* good reminders plan

* Additional sampling to make the sample more representative is fine.
  Here are some other ideas worth considering:

  (a) focus the additional sample on the part of the population you
  think you need to represent better (e.g., if you need more sophomores,
  sample more sophomores)

  (b) use post-stratification weights (we will discuss later in class)
  to make your sample more representative
