1. Moore, pp. 346--247, 5.55 and 5.57.  Also:

   * In problem 5.55 please also verify that the correlation really 
     is r = -0.843.  

   * When you are finished with problem 5.57, please also answer
     (carefully) the following questions: Does the statistical
     evidence suggest that drinking wine causes a reduction in deaths
     due to heart disease?  Why or why not?

2. Moore, pp. 316 5.25, and Moore, p. 350, 5.63.

3. Moore pp 317-318 5.27, and p. 320 5.34.

4. Moore, p. 297-298 5.11 and 5.12.

5. For Table 5-3, p. 297 in Moore, please do the following:

   (a) Make the table of expected cell frequencies: row*col/total

   (b) Make the table of standardized residuals: (O - E)/sqrt(E)

   (c) In a sentence or two,comment on the association between race
       and age that is displayed in the table of standardized
       residuals.  Are your conclusions the same as they were in
       problem 5.12 above?
