Join us in highlighting and celebrating the 2026 Carnegie Mellon Statistics & Data Science Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) program!
The Department of Statistics & Data Science offered an 8 week summer undergraduate experience this year with the theme Data Science in Sports Analytics (aka CMSACamp). The program was led by instructors Sara Colando and Erin Franke. While the applications are in sports analytics, the program is focused on developing skills in statistical and data science methodology, data engineering, and being able to apply these skills to a wide range of problems and contexts.
