How to Search on the Internet #2: Use a List

Many people and organizations have responded to the chaos of the WWW by creating web pages with lists of links of general interest or relating to their particular areas of interest. These are analagous to certain reference books you might own such as the almanac or NY Public Library Desk Reference: after familiarizing yourself with them, you will make an educated guess in the future that certain types of information are likely to be found here.

Note: Don't forget to use your Browser's "find" feature. This feature, usually activated by "ctrl-F", searches through the visible and hidden (below or above the visible area) text for whatever you want to find.
