Xiaoyi Yang has been a Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics & Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University since 2016. Before this, she studied in the University of Wisconsin-Madison, double major in Math and Statistics, minor in Computer Science. Xiaoyi is interested in the application of Social Science on Statistics, including Sociology, Finance, Education, and Sports. Her work is mainly on the development and improvement of methodology on real-life data and model. She is currently working on a Historical Record Linkage project.
