Peter Elliott


Peter Elliott is a 3rd year PhD student working on pattern recognition in audio data. His current project aims to detect scratching behavior in audio recordings of mice, which would enable automated large-scale studies of pain and itch. Originally from Los Angeles, Peter has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA and has previously done research on community detection and ranking. In his spare time, Peter is an avid reader of Fangraphs and enjoys watching baseball and any sporting event involving UCLA. Peter is also currently ranked among the top 300 minesweeper players in the United States.
