Kayla Frisoli

Lab Groups


Kayla is currently a 1st year Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics. After growing up in Thousand Oaks, CA, she received her bachelor’s degree in Statistics, with honors, from the University of California, Los Angeles. In her free time you may find her cooking, watching/ playing sports, or listening to live music.

Kayla has consulted for Coffey International, Dr. John Diaz Beverly Hills Plastic Surgery, and the UCLA School of Law. She was a participant in the Summer Institute for Training In Biostatistics (SIBS) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and returned the following summer to research dynamic causal modeling for fMRI images. Kayla also completed research at UCLA, where she used non-parametric methods to analyze lottery spending data.

At CMU, Kayla joined the Census Research Network Node. Her current interests lie in record linkage, data privacy, social science applications, networks and active/ semi-supervised learning.
