Kayla currently works on statistical methodology with applications in the social sciences. Specifically, she is interested in record linkage, clustering, active learning, and teaching statistics.
Within Pittsburgh, she is an ambassador for the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference, organizes the Pittsburgh useR Meetup group, and serves as the American Statistical Association Pittsburgh Chapter Student Representative.
A California native, Kayla received her Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, with honors, from UCLA where she was the President of the Statistics Club.
